Sze Fei, Izzuddin leave BAM to go pro
Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Mohd Rumsani, Malaysia's men's badminton doubles pair, have decided to leave the national team and will continue their careers as professional players outside the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM). This development comes after similar moves by other prominent Malaysian players, such as Lee Zii Jia, who also pursued a professional path outside BAM.
The director of coaching at the Malaysian Badminton Academy (ABM), Rexy Mainaky, has acknowledged the situation but stated that further details would be shared during a special press conference on the national squad's performance. The press conference is scheduled for tomorrow (August 13).
Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin had a history of splitting up in January last year before reuniting six months later. Now, as they move forward in their careers, they are expected to align with an external brand, following a trend seen among other Malaysian badminton players.
