After a car accident in January 2020, Japan's badminton star Kento Momota struggled to regain his form due to double vision. Ranked 52nd and missing out on the Paris Olympics, he will retire from the national team after the Thomas Cup. He aims to promote badminton in Japan and expressed gratitude for the support he received during tough times. Despite setbacks, he has no regrets about retiring from top-level badminton and encourages his teammates to give their best without regrets.
